Digital Imaging
Our office utilizes a 3D Planmeca ProMax digital X-ray machine for maxillofacial imaging.
This 4th generation 3D VT machine is capable of taking all the radiographs required for diagnosis of either the jaws, or temporomandibular joints, in a single exposure. This technology allows minimal radiographic dosage, while providing an accuracy of diagnostic purposes that is unparalleled in dentistry.
We have chosen highly sophisticated, digital cameras for intra-oral imaging. Images can be magnified to 300 times their size, without loss of detail. Intra-oral images are taken at each appointment, and prove to be an invaluable tool for treatment planning, and monitoring treatment progress. These digital images may also be viewed in consultation with other dental specialists.

OrthoTrac
Dr. Brown serves on the Development Team for OrthoTrac, the single largest software supplier to orthodontists in Canada and the United States. Our office has been selected for testing the latest upgrades. Our secure and encrypted database is completely digital and computerized, and allows the Doctors secure access to patient records from any internet capable computer in the world.

We are proud to offer you this secure encrypted digital network. You will find it very easy to use. From our home page, just enter your UserID and password, and you will have secure access to your personal account, appointment information, and digital images. These images can also be used for collaboration with other dental specialists. T-Link allows you to place a request for an appointment on-line, receive confirmation of up-coming appointments and receive our newsletter.

Housecalls
Yardley is our pet name for our housecalls system, which will call to remind you of your next appointment two days in advance. We thank you in advance for letting us know if you will not be able to keep your appointment. This will allow us to make this time available to other patients. We reserve the right to assess a fee for failure to provide 48 hours notice of a missed appointment.

Damon Brackets
The single most exciting change in orthodontics has to be the implementation of the self-ligation system of brackets. Our office has been using the Damon System exclusively for all our patients, for over 11 years, and the response has been fantastic. Our team and patients are extremely excited with the results this system is producing. It is now possible to expand the dental arches without an additional appliance, with results that were not even dreamed of five years ago.
Damon brackets are smaller and more esthetically pleasing than conventional braces. The technology in these brackets allows for more efficient force delivery to the teeth with minimal discomfort and easier cleaning.
